Here are our year 5 class during a recent morning reading session. Classes across the entire college read for the first 15 minutes of the day from Mon – Thurs.
Spelling Test time in the year 6 room. Students have a spelling test each Friday morning.
I was absolutely spoilt last week by our wonderful year 6 class. Not only did I smell some lovely cooking, but I returned to my desk to find a freshly baked scone with jam. Delicious!
Today our year 9 Advance class were instructing each other in a series of activities that focussed on the Advance values promoted strongly in this class. Later in term 4 the class will lead our P-4 students through a series of fire safety awareness sessions. If today is anything to go by, then the students will do a terrific job!
Here is the first installment of art in my office. All 3 images look outstanding and thanks is extended to Mrs Madden for providing these student artworks. These artworks will change on a monthly basis.
I was going through some footy cards with passionate Blues supporters Mr Kidman and Mr Wilkinson today and noticed that new coach Brendan Bolton has also signed up a new recruit. It looks a little like year 2 student Fynn Clymo. Let’s hope he can help turn the club around!
Mrs Drury has our college library looking fantastic at the moment and this is her most recent ‘paint job’. Have a look very carefully at the cupboard. You are very clever Mrs Drury!
Thanks to some recent Parent’s Association funding, Mrs Lethlean has been able to get her kettlebell lifting program up and running. Mrs Lethlean is a passionate kettlebell lifter and is an Internationally Accredited Level 1 Coach for this sport. Students have been attending sessions once per week at lunchtimes and have spoken very positively about these sessions. Great initiative Mrs Lethlean!
I walked into the art room recently and came across these fantastic masks being produced by year 9/10 students. These two masks are based on characters from the Lion King and there were many other fantastic examples in the room as well. Great effort girls!
Here we can see our year 9/10 students putting our Energy Breakthrough cars through their paces in readiness for the Maryborough Energy Breakthrough to be held in term 4. Looks like a great deal of fun to be had!
