We were very excited today to welcome kinder students from Dingee, Boort, Pyramid Hill, Wedderburn and Inglewood into the college. The Loddon Shire kinder students participated in an African drumming session with Fred, who originates from Ghana. Fred taught students about the origins of the drums themselves and progressed to the stage of getting approx. 80 kinder students drumming together. All reports indicated that the session was fantastic.
A big thankyou is extended to Middle Years Captains Jessica and Aaron for officially welcoming all participants to the college.
At the recent Bendigo Show, Alia and Lydia did very well. Lydia winning in the poultry with 2 firsts, one for her silkie ‘poko’ and the other a Pekin Bantam and Alia winning best junior bird with Princess, her Australian Langshang Bantam. Mrs T also reported that Alia had an amazing display of textiles and photography on display.
Well done on your efforts girls!

The photo on the right is another picture of the fabulous HunterWasser mural that year 6 students have painted with Mrs Townsend. This will be entered into a statewide competition which recognises the work of the Austrian artist and architect.
