Today the Year 9 Humanities class had another visit from Robyn Brown from the East Loddon Historical Society. The Historical Society has been helping students with their research on World War One soldiers from the East Loddon area. This week, Robyn brought along a rather interesting historical artefact; a prosthetic leg. The students were amazed to hear the story of how the Bears Lagoon community contributed to the purchase of the leg for Edward Kerr (Spuddy.) It was a good opportunity for students to empathise with soldiers from the war and understand the challenges they faced even when they came home from war.
