Leadership Day – 7/8 Girls
Well done to Jessica and Chelsea for being selected to attend a ‘year 7 and 8 girls leadership forum’ at Melbourne Girls College last week. The girls learnt about ‘Utilizing a Growth Mindset’, ‘Building Resilience’ and a host of other things. They were also able to listen to and interact with a range of successful female sporting identities. Chelsea and Jessica reported back to me this week on their experiences and intend to also speak with a range of students about their experience. Well done to Mr Kidman for organising this day!
Bendigo Bank Fun Run
Congratulations to all who participated in today’s Bendigo Bank Fun Run. ‘Team East Loddon’ did very well with all members finishing with their heads held high. Special mention to Miss Byrne who came 2nd in the women’s half marathon and Jo C who won a spot prize on the day.
You all deserve to be very proud of your efforts!
Year 10 Sport
I had a great time on Friday, taking Mr Clyne’s year 10 sport class for a session of volleyball and indoor cricket. All students participated with a great level of enthusiasm and the encouragement provided to classmates was outstanding. Year 10 have 2 physical education sessions per week, as well as 1 sport session per week with the year 9 students.
2015 Athletics Sports
Well done to everyone who was involved in making our Athletics Sports a huge success again this year. We appreciate the attendance of the many family and friends who were able to make it on the day, as well as all the wonderful ELP-12 students who consistently try their hardest throughout the day.

Congratulations Julia and Lisa!
Well done to senior students Julia and Lisa who both were involved in fantastic sporting feats over the weekend. Julia was a part of the U17 girls winning netball team in the Netball Victoria state titles and Lisa came 2nd in the Open Women’s ‘Sweat Vs Steam’ 5 km run in Echuca.

More Teachers Games news
A group of six staff travelled to Shepparton today to participate in Table Tennis at the Teachers Games. With authentic East Loddon P-12 Uniform, we all gave our best and had a great day. Mr Wilkinson and I managed to finish in 2nd place, with our teams of Miss Pilkington and Frau MacNamara and Mr Cameron and Mr Aurisch, also doing very well. Look out next year teachers of Victoria. We may very well return!
Teachers Games Win!
Congratulations to Miss Byrne who managed to win the female 10,000m race at the teachers games in Shepparton this week. Miss Byrne had her big win on Sunday and should be very proud of her efforts.
Tomorrow we have another group of 6 staff attending the games, with table tennis being the sport of choice. Good luck to all involved!
Lessons don’t stop at holiday time!
Mr Wilkinson and I taught past students Matt and Kellan Smith a golf lesson today. It was great to catch up with a couple of former students and reminisce about days at ELP-12.
Good luck to them both as they play for Strath in next week’s Bendigo Football League Grand Final.
