Careers week
As part of Careers Week Heather from the Dingee Bush Nurse Centre visited the school to inform students about her job as a rural nurse.
Well Done Macey!
Macey Martin did a wonderful job as guest speaker at the Inglewood ANZAC day service. Macey presented about her experiences visiting Gallipoli. Also well done to the other students Jasmine, Will, Hugh and Jack who spoke as guest speakers at the Bridgewater dawn service.
Respectful Relationships Quotes
Respectful relationships quotes have recently been placed around the school. These quotes were written by students in 2018 and have now been placed on stickers to display around the school.
Canoe Camp
The year 9 & 10 Outdoor Ed class headed off on Canoe camp from the 20th – 22nd March. The students canoed from Picnic Point, Mathoura to Echuca, travelling approximately 85 km. Students carried all of their food and clothing with them and then camped in tents overnight. A big thank you goes out to Miss Byrnes and Mr Wilkinson for paddling with the students and thanks to Mr Smith for assisting with the transport on the final day.
Deb Ball next Friday!
Deb practice is in full swing in preparation for the biannual East Loddon debutante ball. The debutantes and their partners have been working frantically over the last term to get their dancing skills up to scratch. Thank you to the Hicks family and the Deb ball committee for their efforts in preparing the students. We can’t wait to see you all there on the 29th of March.
Hospitality Package for East Loddon Year 11 and Year 12
Over the last two weeks a group of Year 11 and Year 12 students participated in a training program . thanks to Bar Bear from the North Central LLEN. The training took place over two full days.

Their plane is currently flying over the Arabian Sea and due into Dubai around middayish.
Year 9 /10 Fashion Illustration Excursion
Our Fashion Illustration class was successfully chosen to attend a Fashion Illustration workshop at the Bendigo Art Gallery with Angie Rehe on Tuesday 31st of October. We started the day with a small presentation looking at some fashion history and learning about how Angie became a fashion illustrator. We were then treated to a viewing of the Edith Head exhibition, one of Hollywood history’s most significant costume designers. There were incredible illustrations on display as well as costumes worn by actors like Shirley Temple, Jane Russell and Fred Astaire. The students got to watch Angie at work, and she gave them some drawing tips before they jumped in and showed off drawing skills of their own. Angie was impressed with the talents of our wonderful students, as was Mrs Heaslip! Well done girls!
Kool Skools
This week we received our copies of the Loddon Shire CD.
This album was recorded at Studio 52, Collingwood last term and features our Year 12 band ‘Comfort Zone’ (Tom B, Cyan N and Nick K).
