East Loddon has received some new calves! The Year 9’s have officially named the calves Paddington (‘Paddy’ or Pattie as some of the boys refer to him as – the golden-brown one) and Chuggington (‘Chuggy’ because he chugs his milk – the black one). Thank you to the Lawrys for donating the calves to the school!
As part of Careers Week Heather from the Dingee Bush Nurse Centre visited the school to inform students about her job as a rural nurse.
Deb practice is in full swing in preparation for the biannual East Loddon debutante ball. The debutantes and their partners have been working frantically over the last term to get their dancing skills up to scratch. Thank you to the Hicks family and the Deb ball committee for their efforts in preparing the students. We can’t wait to see you all there on the 29th of March.
The college was quite fortunate on Monday, to have a very special visitor arrive just after lunchtime. Santa visited our Prep – Yr 6 students and brought along with him a very enthusiastic band of helpers. Santa commented on the warm weather at East Loddon and how different it was to the North Pole. We look forward to seeing you again on Christmas Day Santa!
Several staff, students and parents volunteered their time at the Bendigo Swap Meet on Saturday in order to raise funds for the year 10 Driver Ed program, which is held at the start of this week. A big thank you is extended to all who were able to assist!
Students in year 9 and 10 participated in a tree planting day at Calivil today. Another great activity in the community and a chance for our students to show their wonderful skills outside of the college.

Today our middle years students travelled out into the community to plant over 1600 trees with the local Landcare group. Days such as this provide a great opportunity for our students to showcase their talents and mannerisms in the wider community. Well done to all involved!
